This article analyzes international legal frameworks for the protection of women's rights – including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, CEDAW, and the Sustainable Development Goals – in comparison with Uzbekistan's updated 2023 Constitution and the Law on Guarantees of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men. The study explores the role of legal awareness, state policy, and social stereotypes in ensuring gender equality. It highlights legal similarities and differences, implementation challenges, and proposes concrete recommendations for improving legislation.
