Аннотация

This article analyzes the ethnic composition of the population living in Movarounnahr and neighboring areas during the period of Amir Temur and Timurids. The various peoples of the Timurid Empire, their origin, ethnic diversity and their role in social life are studied. Also, the changes in the structure of the population as a result of Amir Temur's campaigns and state policy, theinteraction ofethnicgroups and cultural relations are covered. Key words: Timurid period, Nizamiddin Shami, Claviho, Mongolian ethnonym, ethnos, Sarts, Turks, Tajiks, artisans.
