Аннотация

The article examines the features of the functioning of comparative constructions in texts of different functional and stylistic affiliation. Comparative constructions are an important element of language used to express the degree of similarity or difference between objects, phenomena or situations. Comparative constructions are analyzed in texts of different styles: scientific, fiction, journalistic and colloquial. Particular attention is paid to the differences in the use of these constructions depending on the purposes of communication and the characteristics of the audience. Syntactic and semantic features of comparisons are also considered, as well as the influence of context on the choice of the type of comparison.
