This study investigates the impact of terrorism on the tourism industry using a comprehensive PESTEL analysis. The analysis examines both the direct and indirect effects of terrorism on tourism through political, economic, social, environmental, technological, and legal factors. The econometric section of the study analyzes annual panel data from three countries covering the period 2010–2020. The results of a Fixed Effects regression conducted in STATA 17 confirm the negative impact of terrorism on the tourism sector.
