This article discusses the factors that determine the cost of a product, its main components, existing scientific approaches and practical mechanisms for reducing costs. The study also analyzed the factors affecting the cost of a product in business entities, and developed proposals and recommendations aimed at reducing costs. Keywords: product cost, factors affecting costs, costs, raw materials, wages, norms and standards, cost reduction strategy.
