This article is devoted to the consideration of issues related to the formation of the world intellectual property as well as costs spent on creation of research and experimental developments. In addition, the article analyzes the issues of assessment and organization of innovative products. In the context of global globalization, intellectual property objects are crucial in assessing the property of enterprises. However, the methodology of analysis of intangible assets has not been comprehensively presented in scientific works. therefore, this article developed a methodology for the analysis of intangible assets, in particular the analysis of intellectual property.
