TEACHING POETIC METERS TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

This article provides information on effective methods and methodologies for teaching poetic meters to senior high school students. It covers the theoretical foundations of poetic meters, didactic materials used in the learning process, and practical exercises. Additionally, the article offers methodological recommendations aimed at increasing students' interest in poetry and developing their artistic thinking. Teaching poetic meters to senior high school students should involve not only providing theoretical knowledge but also enabling practical application through exercises. The main types of poetic meters are aruz and free verse. The aruz meter is widely used in classical Uzbek poetry and is characterized by strict rules and measurement units. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly explain the basic aruz meters and their forms to students.
