This article analyzes the role of neighborhood (mahalla) institutions in Shahrisabz in preserving and restoring national values. As an ancient social structure of the Uzbek people, the mahalla became a foundation for spiritual revival and cultural identity during the years of independence. The article explores the cultural, educational, and spiritual activities of mahallas based on reforms from 1991 to 2022.
