Структурные и семантико – номинатиные характеристики сложных слов, входящих в состав фразеологизмов

Аннотация

Subject of the research. Ihc present research deals with problems of a comprehensive analysis of structural - semantic aspects of the English compound words, functioning as apart of phraseological units. The problem is settled by semantics and functional relationship of linguistic elements. Phraseology and word - building arc connected levels of the language system and this connection is seen in the mechanism of nominative -communicative action. Aim of the research: to study correlation of structural, semantic and nominative features of compound words which help to reveal many essential characteristics of their functioning in various phraseological contexts. Methods of the research: - transformation and scmasiological analysis (to determine semantic characteristics of compound); - distributional (to study nominative structure of derivatives); - phramc analysis (to study cognitive structure of compounds); - statistic (qualitative study of the results of the investigation). The results achieved and their novelty. The importance and theoretical value of the research is predetermined by a complex approach to the study of the nature of word composition elements from the point of view of functional linguistics. The analysis of structural, semantic characteristics and phrasecomposition functions of the compounds contributes to the theory of word -building semantics and study of onomasiological categories. The results of investigation testify to a great variety and peculiarity of phraseology - bound transformations in the semantic structure of compound dcrivates. Practical value: the results of a complex - integral investigation of the compound words which occur in a special context may be useful in further investigation of communicative - cognitive aspects of word - building means. The results of the present research have direct meaning in teaching English, its Lexicology, Phraseology, compiling special test books. Degree of embed: the results of the research have been used in teaching courses of the English Lexicology, Theory and Practice of Translation at Navoi State Pedagogical Institute. Sphere of usage: for educational aims, general and Germanic linguistics, applying lexicolography.
