Аннотация

Subjects of the inquiry: the Egyptian Mamluk Sultanate, the formation of the dynasty of Abbasid caliphs in Cairo within the reign of Mamluks, the Mamluk sultans’ claim for leadership in the Muslim world. Aim of the inquiry: the objective of the thesis is to reveal the idea that the Egyptian Mamluk Sultanate’s official, political, economic, social and military systems’ complex analyses were chiefly based on Islam. Methods of inquiry: historically-analytical, comparatively-analytical, objectivity. The results achieved and their novelty: this is the initial comprehensive work that covers the Islam-related issues of the Egyptian Mamluk Sultanate; the thesis analyses the influence of Islam on the processes of that period. Practical value: the thesis investigates a number of issues: the initially brought Mamluks were in fact slaves; the reigning class of Mamluks referred to the Abbasid caliphs in order to legalize their throne; they communicated in the Turkic language, thus related to the Uzbek history. In addition, the “ideas” of certain sects to reestablish Islamic Caliphate was proven to be wrong. Degree of embed and economic effectivity: Over 5 articles dealing with the theme and two theses were published; speeches were also made at two scientific conferences. The complete text is being planned to publication as a monograph. Sphere of usage: The findings of the thesis can be applied to the lessons on Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, History of Islam, History of Eastern Countries and special courses; it can be used in conducting investigations on the history of Asia-African countries.
