This article is devoted to the analysis of the stages of formation, current state, and prospects for the development of the securities market in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main focus is on the stages of development since independence to the present day, institutional and legal infrastructure, active market participants and key indicators, current problems and barriers, strategic directions of development and integration into international markets. Key aspects include a historical overview of market development, regulatory framework, stock exchange and central depository activities, public and foreign investor participation, liquidity and market capitalization analysis, and proposals for further improvement. The purpose of this publication is to summarize the theoretical foundations of the securities market, research the historical stages of capital market formation in “RAQAMLI IQTISODIYOT” ILMIY-ELEKTRON JURNALI | 1 1-SON WWW.INFOCOM.UZ 1394 Uzbekistan, and evaluate the results of the institutional and legislative reforms carried out, identifying existing problems and factors hindering the development of the stock market, as well as proposing recommendations and strategic directions to improve the efficiency of the securities market.
