Аннотация

This article considers several statements of female characters containing gender stereotypes concerning the representatives of their gender identity. This group of statements is considered to be the most extensive among the statements of female characters containing gender stereotypes. Language and gender is an interdisciplinary field of research that studies varieties of speech (and, to a lesser extent, writing) in terms of gender, gender relations and gendered practices. It started developing swiftly after Robin Lakoff published her book “Language and Woman's Place” in 1975. There also such notable linguists as Candice West, Deborah Tannen and Susan Gal who contributed to reinforce gender linguistics progress further. In the process of the examination linguists came to the conclusion that language directly influence on gender as it endorses formation of gender based stereotypes.
