Introduction Tourism is recognized as one of the fastest-growing and most economically influential sectors in the global economy. In Uzbekistan, the tourism sector is viewed as a strategic direction for diversifying the national economy, promoting employment opportunities, and increasing income. The country’s rich cultural heritage, historical sites, and natural landscapes position it as a promising destination for global tourists. However, challenges remain in achieving sustainable growth in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, 2021) identifies a critical gap between educational outcomes and labor market demands as a primary obstacle [1]. Current 14 training programs often emphasize theoretical knowledge over practical application, limiting graduates' readiness for real-world tasks. Additionally, UNESCO (2022) emphasizes that aligning national education systems with global standards is essential for achieving quality and inclusive development [2]. Furthermore, Hall and Page (2019) highlight that tourism and recreation are dynamic fields influenced by geographic, environmental, and socio-economic factors, requiring a multidisciplinary and globally connected workforce [3]. Therefore, improving the system of personnel training and expanding international cooperation are critical for enhancing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential. This study addresses the following research questions: 1. How can the system of personnel training be improved? 2. In what ways can educational programs be aligned with international standards? 3. What do recent studies say about expanding international cooperation in the tourism sector? 2. Data were collected from secondary sources, including academic literature, government reports, and international organization publications. Interactive Learning Platform: An online educational system that engages students with dynamic content, enabling active participation through quizzes, videos, and collaborative tools. 3. Exchange Program: A program where students or professionals temporarily study or work in a foreign country, typically through institutional agreements. The study examined Uzbekistan’s tourism education system through a comparative lens, aligning it with leading international models, including European frameworks. To illustrate successful approaches in tourism training and cross-border cooperation, case studies from countries such as Switzerland and Australia were analyzed. 3. Key findings Importance of Tourism Education. Tourism education plays a pivotal role in preparing a skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving industry. However, the OECD (2021) notes that mismatches between educational outcomes and industry needs hinder progress, particularly in emerging economies [1]. Graduates often lack practical skills, such as customer service, digital marketing, and sustainable tourism management, which are critical for employability. Aligning with Global Standards. UNESCO (2022) advocates for aligning national education systems with international standards to ensure inclusivity and quality [2]. These frameworks emphasize competencies like intercultural com
