This article analyzes the principles of operation, differences, advantages and disadvantages of IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) technologies, which play an important role in ensuring network security. It also extensively covers the effectiveness of using these technologies in real systems, their role in combating modern threats, and optimal approaches.
