Аннотация
The liver is the largest parenchymal organ in the human body, and its prenatal and postnatal development plays a critical role in human ontogeny. During the prenatal period, the liver begins to form from the ventral wall of the foregut around the third week of embryonic life and serves as a major hematopoietic organ. It arises from endodermal origin and differentiates through the proliferation of hepatoblasts into hepatocytes and bile duct cells. After birth, the liver's hematopoietic role ceases, while its metabolic, detoxification, and bile secretion functions become more prominent. This article provides a scientifically grounded analysis of the developmental stages of the liver during both prenatal and postnatal periods. 153 ISSN (E): 2181-4570 ResearchBib Impact Factor: 6,4 / 2024 SJIF 2024 = 5.073/Volume-3, Issue-5 Keywords: Liver ontogenesis, hepatocyte development, prenatal stages, postnatal functions, embryogenesis, liver morphology, hepatogenesis.
