Аннотация

This article explores the cognitive advantages of bilingualism, focusing on how learning a second language can enhance memory and problem-solving skills. Research indicates that bilingual individuals often exhibit superior working memory, better multitasking abilities, and improved executive functions compared to their monolingual counterparts. These cognitive benefits are attributed to the brain's increased neuroplasticity and the constant mental exercise involved in managing multiple linguistic systems. Additionally, bilingualism has been associated with delayed onset of age-related cognitive decline, such as dementia, highlighting its long-term positiveimpact onbrain health. Keywords: Bilingualism, cognitive flexibility, working memory, executive functions, neuroplasticity, cognitivereserve, dementia.
