Аннотация

This article analyzes the reforms in the field of religion carried out in the Republic of Uzbekistan during the years of independence, as well as issues of religious freedom, interfaith harmony, and religious tolerance. It highlights that, due to independence, the freedom of conscience and the right to religious belief of citizens have been guaranteed, and legal foundations have been established for the free activity of religious organizations. The article also discusses the impact of religious values on the development of society, their role in the upbringing of youth, and the importance of social consciousness and culture in the fight against the threats of extremism. Based on historical and modern data, the balanced model of relations between religion and the state in Uzbekistan is also outlined.
