This article covers the theoretical and practical foundations of correctly assessing and effectively directing a singer's performance capabilities within the art of maqom. The complex vocal structure, melodiousness, phrasing, intonation, and artistic expression aspects of maqom works are deeply analyzed, and the issues of identifying, developing, and adapting singers' vocal potential to performance are studied. In particular, the vocal training, breath control, aesthetic thinking, psychophysiological balance, and creative approaches necessary for a maqom singer are emphasized as important factors.
