JADID VIEWS ON FAMILY MATTERS

Аннотация

This article analyzes the perspectives on family institution held by leading representatives of the Jadid movement in the early 20th century. Based on works by Jadid enlighteners such as Fitrat, Behbudiy, and Said Ahroriy, their concepts of family, family relations, women's status, marriage, and education are examined. According to the research findings, while the Jadids criticized traditional family concepts, they advocated for reforming it on the basis of modern education and upbringing. The Jadids' views on family are evaluated as an important component of the national awakening period.
