Аннотация

This academic article explores the most effective methods and modern techniques used in writing lessons for B2 level ESL (English as a Second Language) students. At the B2 level, learners are expected to write coherent, well- structured, and extended texts, often reflecting complex ideas and logical argumentation. Traditional product-based writing instruction is no longer sufficient to meet these demands. Therefore, the article focuses on current pedagogical approaches such as the process writing method, task-based learning, genre-based instruction, and the integration of digital tools into the writing classroom. Each method is examined in terms of its practical application, benefits, and challenges. In addition, peer collaboration, formative assessment, and feedback strategies are highlighted as essential for student progress. The article also offers sample activities and suggestions for classroom use. The conclusion emphasizes that a combination of interactive, learner-centered, and technology-supported methods produces the best outcomes for B2 students aiming to develop strong writing skills. Key words: B2 level, writing skills, ESL, process writing, task-based learning, genre-based approach, technology in education, effective teaching methods.
