In Uzbekistan, foreign tourism has become one of the priorities of state policy in recent years. The country's rich historical heritage, cultural monuments and unique nature attract the attention of foreign tourists. This article analyzes the stages of development of foreign tourism, existing problems and promising directions. Foreign tourism plays an important role in increasing export revenues and shaping the country's image. Digital technologies, an electronic visa system and international advertising companies have a positive impact on foreign tourism. Regional inequalities are also observed in foreign tourism - some regions have become tourist centers, while others are still poorly developed in this regard. The article studies the dynamics of foreign tourism, main markets, tourist flows and their cost structure based on statistical data for 2017–2024. Based on the results of the analysis, proposals have been developed and are recommended for practical use. The study promotes the idea of developing the industry through innovative approaches.
