Аннотация
Hypothyroidism is a disease characterized by insufficient production of thyroid hormones, which leads to a slowdown in metabolism and a variety of systemic disorders in the body. Modern computer technologies significantly improve the diagnosis and treatment of this condition. The article discusses the main methods of computerized diagnosis and their application in the treatment of hypothyroidism. Prospects for the introduction of artificial intelligence and automated systems in endocrinology are also discussed. Keywords: hypothyroidism, diagnostics, computer technologies, hormone replacement therapy, ultrasound, scintigraphy, artificial intelligence, blood analysis, electronic medical records, telemedicine Computer diagnosis of hypothyroidism Modern methods of diagnosing hypothyroidism are based on the use of computer technologies that provide fast and accurate data processing. The main methods of computer diagnostics include: 1. Laboratory tests with automated data processing The basis for the diagnosis of hypothyroidism is an analysis of the level of thyroid- stimulating hormone (TSH), free T3 and T4. Modern laboratories use automated analyzers that provide high accuracy and speed of obtaining results. Computer systems allow you to: Automatically process large amounts of laboratory data. Detect minimal deviations in hormone levels; Exclude the human factor in the analysis. Create dynamic graphs of changes in the hormonal background. 2. Ultrasound diagnostics (ultrasound) Modern ultrasound machines with computer image processing allow you to: Evaluate the volume and structure of the thyroid gland. Identify signs of atrophy, nodular changes, or inflammatory processes. Use elastography to determine tissue density and detect fibrotic changes. 3. Thyroid scintigraphy Scintigraphy is a radioisotope method that is used to assess the functional state of the thyroid gland. Computerized systems allow you to: Accurately determine the distribution of radioisotopes; Detect a decrease in the accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals with hypofunction of the gland; Automatically analyze images and output quantitative indicators. 154 4. Magnetic resonance and computer tomography (MRI, CT) MRI and CT scans are used in difficult cases, especially when congenital anomalies, tumor processes, or secondary pituitary changes affecting thyroid function are suspected. Computer technologies in the treatment of hypothyroidism 1. Automated dosage calculation systems Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is the main treatment for hypothyroidism. Computer programs allow you to analyze laboratory data and calculate the optimal dose of levothyroxine, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient. This helps you: Reduce the likelihood of overdose or insufficiency of therapy; Achieve stable hormone levels faster. Reduce the number of visits to the doctor. 2. Monitoring treatment using mobile apps Mobile apps and wearable devices allow patients to: Monitor TSH, T3, and T4 levels in real time. Get reminders about taking medications. Monitor your well-being with questionnaires and symptom diaries. 3. Telemedicine and electronic health records Telemedicine greatly simplifies the management of patients with hypothyroidism, especially in remote areas. Electronic medical records allow doctors to: Analyze your medical history in digital format. Prescribe and adjust treatment remotely. Perform dynamic monitoring of patients. 4. Artificial intelligence and machine learning Modern algorithms based on artificial intelligence (AI) can: Automatically analyze test results and make therapy adjustments. Identify patterns in the course of the disease; Predict the likelihood of complications.
