INTRODUCTION. Life safety education is an essential component of the modern educational process. With the advancement of information technologies, new opportunities have emerged for improving students’ understanding and application of safety measures. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of IT in the formation of life safety skills among students and to identify effective methods for their implementation. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic and other global crises have underscored the need for adaptive and technologically driven safety education. Schools and universities are increasingly incorporating digital safety modules into their curricula to equip students with real-life problem-solving skills. The 55 ACADEMIC RESEARCH IN MODERN SCIENCE International scientific-online conference purpose of this study is to analyze the role of IT in the formation of life safety skills among students, evaluate the effectiveness of various digital approaches, and identify best practices for implementing IT-based safety training programs. This research aims to bridge the gap between theoretical safety education and its practical application through technology-driven learning experiences. LITERARY ANALYSIS:. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, and experimental teaching sessions conducted over a six- month period in various educational institutions. The research sample consisted of high school and university students, ensuring a diverse representation of different educational levels. A control group and an experimental group were used to assess the impact of IT-based learning materials. The experimental group received training through digital platforms, including simulations, virtual reality exercises, gamified safety modules, and AI-powered interactive courses. The control group, on the other hand, followed traditional classroom-based safety instruction. Pre- and post- tests were conducted to measure knowledge retention, skill acquisition, and practical application in simulated emergency scenarios. In addition to student assessments, educators and safety experts were interviewed to gather qualitative insights on the effectiveness of IT-based safety education. Classroom observations and focus group discussions were also conducted to analyze students' engagement levels, motivation, and overall learning experience. Statistical analysis, including t-tests and regression models, was employed to determine the significance of IT-enhanced learning in improving students' safety preparedness.. ANALYSIS AND RESULTS. Findings indicate that students who used IT- based learning tools demonstrated a higher level of understanding and application of life safety skills compared to those who followed traditional methods. Virtual simulations and interactive training significantly improved students’ ability to respond effectively to emergency situations. Additionally, engagement levels were higher in IT-assisted learning environments. Specifically, students in the experimental group showed a 35% improvement in knowledge retention compared to the control group, as measured by post-test scores. Moreover, students who engaged with virtual reality-based safety training demonstrated quicker and more accurate responses in simulated emergency drills, reducing reaction times by an average of 40%. 56 ACADEMIC RESEARCH IN MODERN SCIENCE International scientific-online conference Interactive learning tools such as mobile safety apps, augmented reality (AR) exercises, and AI-driven emergency response tra
