The object of the study are typical sierozem soils and cotton varieties “Sultan”, “UzPITI-103”, “UzPITI-2201” and “Unkurgan-1”. The scientific novelty of the study is as follows: for the first time in conditions of typical irrigated sierozem soils, the optimal water and nutritional application norms and irrigation scheduling were developed with the aim to obtain high-quality seed of cotton varieties “UzPITI-2201”, “Unkurgan-1”, “UzPITI-103” and “Sultan”; in conditions of irrigated typical sierozem soils, the irrigation timing and duration, crop water consumption and field water balance were determined; the influence of water and nutritional norms on growth, development and seed yield of cotton varieties “UzPITI-2201”, “Unkurgan-1”, “UzPITI-103” and “Sultan” was identified; the effect of water and nutritional norms on weight of one ball of sympodial cotton branches, weight of 1000 seeds and oil contents of the cotton seeds, field and laboratory germination rates of cotton seeds under various irrigation scheduling and fertilizer application rates were determined. Based on the research results on the development of optimal irrigation scheduling and fertilizer application rates for new upland cotton varieties in conditions of irrigated typical sierozem soils: аgrotechnology of irrigation of upland cotton variety “Sultan” with irrigation scheduling of 70-75-65% Fc and mineral fertilizer application rates of N-220, P- 154, K-110 kg ha-1 was introduced on 200 hectares of seed-growing cotton farms in the Buka district (Certificate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, No. 02/20-221 of 11.04.2018). As a result, the cotton yield of the “Sultan” variety was 0.3 to 0.4 t ha-1 higher compared to the traditional varieties, and the germination capacity increased by 3 to 4%, weight of 1000 seeds by 8 to 9 g, and the seed oil contents by 2.0 to 2.5%; аgrotechnology of irrigation of upland cotton variety “Sultan” with irrigation scheduling of 70-75-65% Fc and mineral fertilizer application rates of N-220, P- 154, K-110 kg ha-1 was introduced on 101.5 ha of seed-growing cotton farms in the Kuyichirchik district and “UzPITI-103” on 63 hectares (Certificate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, No. 02/20-221 of 11.04.2018).
