The urgency and relevance of the topic of the dissertation work. Currently, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is one of the topical problems of medicine in the world. RA is a multifactorial disease that occurs among people of different ages, proceeds with damage to the internal organs, which leads to a decrease in the operability and early disability of patients. In developed countries, the incidence of RA among the general population is 0,5-2%, and this figure is increasing every year. In women, RA is 2-3 times more common than in men. In patients with rheumatoid arthritis, a decrease in life expectancy compared with the general population by 3-7 years is observed. In the absence of effective therapy, the life expectancy of RA patients is lower by 3 years in women and by 7 years in men. The presence of gastrointestinal pathologies among internal injuries of internal organs in RA ranges from 13% to 60%.
