This article studies the importance of attorney-client privilege in the professional activities of a lawyer and a comparative legal analysis of international experience in this regard. The purpose of the scientific article is to develop scientifically based proposals on the legal regulation of the institute of attorney-client privilege in the legislation of Uzbekistan and foreign countries, its application in practice, as well as existing problems in this area and their solutions. The tasks of the scientific article include the study of the theoretical and legal foundations of the concept of attorney-client privilege, a comparative analysis of international legislation and practice, a study of the legal foundations of the institute of attorney-client privilege in Uzbekistan, and the development of proposals for improving legislation and practice. В статье рассматривается значение юридической тайны в профессиональной деятельности юриста и проводится сравнительно-правовой анализ 1722 ResearchBib IF - 11.01, ISSN: 3030-3753, Volume 2 Issue 3 зарубежного опыта по этому вопросу. Целью научной статьи является разработка научно обоснованных предложений по правовому регулированию института адвокатской тайны в законодательстве Узбекистана и зарубежных стран, его применению на практике, а также существующим проблемам в этой сфере и путям их решения. В задачи научной статьи входит исследование теоретико-правовых основ понятия адвокатской тайны, проведение сравнительного анализа международного законодательства и практики, исследование правовых основ института адвокатской тайны в Узбекистане, разработка предложений по совершенствованию законодательства и практики.
