Аннотация

This article is devoted to the study of the functioning of gender forms of nouns in the Russian language from a sociolinguistic point of view. Particular attention is paid to the interaction of linguistic norms and social factors, such as gender stereotypes, cultural traditions, social status and the influence of media. It analyzes how these factors influence the choice of grammatical gender in the context of everyday communication, the professional sphere and the mass media. The issues of the relationship between lexical units and the perception of gender and the social role of native speakers are studied.
