The urgency and relevance of the theme of dissertation. According to the World Health Organization, inflammatory diseases of the eye affects about 16 million of population, accounting for 40.2% of outpatient and up to 50% of the inpatient cases. As for nosological entities, predominance of conjunctivitis (60%) and keratitis (10%) is evident. Those diseases by a decrease in visual functions and lead to serious complications in 26% of cases, and in 19% of cases might even lead to the vision loss are accompanied. The issue of treatment for inflammatory eye diseases until now remains relevant in a medico-social respect worldwide, but fight with corneal blindness is one of the priorities of modem ophthalmology. Search for brand new high-tech treatment methods in ophthalmology is based on unsatisfactory treatment results of existing methods; increased morbidity with specific proportion of patients with severe ophthalmologic pathologies, limiting the use of several treatment methods, and prolonged use of certain drug groups. One of the high technology methods is photodynamic therapy (PDT). The aim of research work is to improve the treatment outcomes of inflammatory diseases of eye surface (IDES), through the development of safe doses and photodynamic therapy (PDT) power on domestic equipment in experimental and clinical conditions.
