Аннотация

This article explores the use of anthropocentric proverbs as a tool to enhance students’ lexical competence. Anthropocentric proverbs, which reflect human experiences, emotions, and interactions with the world, can serve as valuable linguistic and cultural resources in language learning. This paper examines the connection between proverbs and lexical development, how these expressions embody cultural wisdom, and their potential to increase vocabulary range, contextual understanding, and communicative ability. The study underscores the importance of integrating proverbs into language instruction and offers practical recommendations for teachers on incorporating these proverbs into their teaching strategies. By leveraging the cultural richness and conceptual depth inherent in proverbs, educators can foster a more profound grasp of language that is both cognitively enriching and socially relevant.
