This article is dedicated to the norms and traditions of language etiquette in the Russian language, examining various forms of address depending on the social situation, level of acquaintance, and age of the interlocutors. The paper analyzes the main rules for using the forms "you" and "thou," as well as address by first name and patronymic, and the role of polite phrases and expressions in communication. Special attention is given to the differences in forms of address in official, business, diplomatic, and informal contexts. The article also discusses typical mistakes that may lead to misunderstandings and how to avoid them.
