The development of civilization impacts every aspect of human life, and education is no exception. We now live in the digital age, where artificial intelligence systems play a pivotal role. While these systems initially focused on relieving humans of physical labor, they have increasingly taken on tasks involving mental activity. Higher education, including the teaching of foreign languages, has not been immune to this transformation. One of the defining features of modern linguodidactics is the integration of innovative technologies in foreign language teaching, particularly through the incorporation of artificial intelligence elements. This trend holds significant scientific and practical interest. To evaluate the potential of these technologies in pedagogical practice, it is essential to study their application within the educational process. This includes identifying novel pedagogical and information technology solutions, analyzing their impact on the effectiveness of competency development as outlined in federal educational standards, and weighing their advantages and disadvantages. Efforts should also be directed towards minimizing potential shortcomings to maximize their benefits. The Explanatory Dictionary of Artificial Intelligence provides the following definition of this concept: "the property of intelligent systems to perform creative functions that are traditionally considered the prerogative of humans" [1]. Also, according to John McCarthy, it is "the science and technology of creating intelligent machines, especially intelligent computer programs" [5]. Thus, we can conclude that the main task of artificial intelligence is to understand how human intelligence works and to model it. Due to the fact that "in modern conditions, a shift in the understanding of teaching a foreign language and the skills acquired during the study contribute to a new awareness of the use of various technologies" [2], it should be noted that artificial intelligence is already an integral component of the modern education system. Digital technologies are completely changing the established model of education: Firstly, the student will never fall asleep during the lesson, because the lessons are interactive and interesting. Secondly, the use of artificial intelligence allows for adaptability and personalization of the learning process, which is impossible to achieve in a traditional lesson.
