This article analyzes the role of artificial intelligence and online platforms in English language learning. Modern technologies, including AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, Google Translate, Grammarly) and online learning platforms (Duolingo, Memrise, BBC Learning English), provide opportunities to make language acquisition more effective and interactive. The study examines the impact of these tools on learners' language skills, highlighting their advantages and limitations. Additionally, the paper discusses personalized learning through AI, the flexibility of language learning, and innovative teaching methods. The article aims to offer recommendations on the future prospects of AI and online platforms in English language education. In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) and online learning platforms have significantly transformed the way English is learned and taught. With the rapid advancement of digital technology, AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Google Translate, and Grammarly, along with online platforms like Duolingo, Memrise, and BBC Learning English, have made language learning more accessible, interactive, and personalized. These technologies provide learners with instant feedback, adaptive learning paths, and engaging activities that enhance their language proficiency. The integration of AI in English language education has introduced new methods that go beyond traditional classroom settings. AI-driven applications can analyze users' strengths and weaknesses, adjust the difficulty level accordingly, and offer customized exercises to improve vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and fluency. Moreover, online platforms have created opportunities for learners to practice English in real-life contexts through virtual classrooms, interactive exercises, and gamified learning approaches. However, despite its numerous advantages, AI-assisted language learning also presents certain challenges, such as the lack of human interaction, potential inaccuracies in AI-generated content, and over-reliance on technology. Survey and User Feedback Analysis – Data from existing surveys and user feedback from language learners and educators were reviewed to understand the practical application of AI-based learning methods. This helped identify user preferences, engagement levels, and challenges faced during the learning process. 4. Case Studies – An examination of real-world examples of AI-assisted language learning in educational institutions. By utilizing these methods, the study aims to provide a well-rounded evaluation of AI and online platforms in English language education, highlighting their effectiveness, challenges, and potential improvements.
