Оценка качества жизни оперированных по поводу гипоспадии в детском возрасте

Hypospadias - the most common malformation of the urethra in males and compose 1-4% of the total number of urological patients. The objective of current study was to evaluate the quality of people, who had plastic surgery in childhood on trunk forms of hypospadia. The results of treatment in 34 patients over 14 years with trunk form of hypospadias, operated drung the 1990-2000 at the urology Department of the Samarkand branch of Republican center of children's surgery were assessed. Evaluation of the testicles’ function and urodynamics were evaluated as well as patients psychological and sexual statuses were assessed. The study participants were divided into 3 age groups. The results showed that 4 (11,8%) surveyed observed difficulty urinating due to stricture. Analysis of ejaculate in the older group showed oligospermia in 2 and azoospermia in 1 patient. Testing revealed that 13 (76,5%) subjects have not any significant changes in the quality of life. The remaining 4 (23,5%) patients were identified to have some factors which negatively affect the quality of life. Our research has shown that the assessment of the quality of life of the patients, operated due hypospadias in childhood is necessary to optimize the methods of treatment, as the most effective and appropriate for the patients. Psychological postoperative rehabilitation with the patient and their parents is essential and necessary.
