The article describes some methodological issues of teaching foreign students to write and substantiates the relevance of the formation of writing skills at the initial stage of education. The aspects of the formation of the ability to correctly write individual words, terms, phrases, sentences, etc. are considered, which contributes to meeting the communicative needs of students in terms of educational and professional communication and organizing further independent work to improve writing skills.
