Chronic tonsillitis should be considered as a focal infection, which elimination is an extremely important part of maintaining human health in general and of successful treatment of associated diseases. The general medical significance of tonsillar pathology is due to the fact that chronic tonsillitis can affect functions of distant organs and systems. About 100 conditions have been described, in the pathogenesis of which a certain role was played by the palatine tonsil pathology. One such condition is hyperkinetic tics.
