In this article, the issue of gender in Uzbek is studied from the point of view of linguistics. The article analyzes grammatical and lexical gender manifestations in Uzbek, their socio-cultural context and modern trends. Based on the analysis of literature, gender characteristics of Uzbek are studied in a comparative way with other languages, and recommendations for language policy are made to ensure gender equality.
