Subjects of the inquiry: representatives of genus Ferula L. - Ferula tatarica Fish, ex Spreng., Ferula soongorica Pall, ex Spreng., growing in Uzbekistan. The subject of investigation is -revealing, isolation and establishment of structure for biologically active substances from the investigated plants. Aim of the inquiry: isolation of terpenoid esters from two species of Ferula: F. tatarica and F. soongorica, identification of the known compounds, establishment of structure and stereochemistry of the new ones, carrying out the pharmacological tests and development of the way for obtaining summarized preparation of estrogenic action. Method of inquiry: the modem physico - chemical methods for analysis (TLC, UV-, IR-, PMR - and mass - spectrometry) and also preclinical trials were used in the work. The results achieved and their novelty: terpenoid esters from F. tatarica Fish, ex Spreng, ahd F. soognorika Pall, ex Spreng, have been studied. 17 natural compounds have been isolated. Four of them are new ones. On the basis of the obtained results of chemical changes and spectral data for all hew substances the structure and stereochemistry have been established for them. Practical value: the way for “Zofarol” obtaining, which possesses with estrogenic activity, was developed. The preparation is protected by the Preliminary Patent №4305 “The way for “Zofarol” agent, possessing with estrogenic activity”. A new prospective source for obtaining ferutinin, chimgin, chimganin that have estrogenic effect and are used as bioreagent for medico-biological investigations, has been revealed. These preparations were included into Catalogue of the French Company “Latoxan” and they are being sold for fundamental research. Degree of embed and economic effectivity: the results of phytochemical analysis for two species of Ferula L., F. tatarica and F. soongorica have been introduced into educational process in the chair of pharmacognosy of the Tashkent pharmaceutical Institute. Sphere of usage: medical and pharmaceutical industry and poultry farming.
