Subjects of the inquiry: ridge former of the combined unit and its technological process of work. Aim of the inquiry: substantiation of parameters of the ridge former of combined units carrying out full forming the irrigating furrow and ridge for sowing cotton plant seeds. Method of inquiry: theoretical researches were conducted on the base of the theoretical and agricultural mechanics, higher mathematics and mathematical statistics, experimental researches were conducted on the base of the two-row combined unit by planning of experiments and strain measurement. The results achieved and their novelty: geometrical forms and law of changing the forming work surfaces had been received. Analytical dependence determining parameters of the ridger’s tip and its draught resistance had been obtained. Regression equations connecting the speed and draught resistance of the unit and its technological parameters had been received. The patent to useful model has been worked out. Practical value: the contruction of the combined unit for preparing ridger sowing the fields with cotton plant stems has been developed. Labor expenditure and usage expenses are reduced to 35.8 and 13.4% accordingly. Degree of embed and economic efficiency: the combined unit had field tests on “Kuziboy ota Davletov in Kuyi Chirchik district, Tashkent province and UzMEI experimental farm. Annual economical efficiency of using the combined unit is 5749980 soom per year. Sphere of usage: agricultural machinebuilding, agriculture.
