Аннотация

This article delves into the complexities of secondary interpretation in the context of language contact, exploring the cultural implications, training and professional development needs, ethical considerations, and future trends in the field. It highlights the importance of interpreters being attuned to cultural nuances, enhancing linguistic competence, and upholding ethical standards to effectively convey meaning across languages and cultural backgrounds. As language contact increases in a globalized world, interpreters must adapt to evolving linguistic landscapes and technological advancements to meet the demands of cross-cultural communication. Embracing cultural understanding is crucial for interpreters to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by linguistic diversity in a changing global communication environment. Language contact in the era of globalization has become increasingly prevalent due to the interconnectedness of cultures and the ease of communication across borders. This phenomenon has significant implications for secondary interpretation, the process of interpreting a message that has already been translated or interpreted from one language to another. In this article, we will explore the influence of language contact on secondary interpretation and examine how this process can be both complicated and facilitated in the context of global information and cultural exchange. 107 Topical issues of language training in the globalized world Additionally, we will investigate the stylistic, lexical, and syntactic challenges that may arise during secondary interpretation in the context of globalization. Impact of Language Contact on Secondary Interpretation Language contact plays a crucial role in shaping the way messages are interpreted and understood in a globalized world. When multiple languages come into contact, whether through direct interaction or through media and technology, the process of secondary interpretation can be affected in various ways (1). One of the key impacts of language contact is the introduction of loanwords, calques, and code switching, which can complicate the interpretation process by introducing unfamiliar terms or structures that may not have direct equivalents in the target language. Furthermore, language contact can lead to the blending of linguistic features from different languages, creating hybrid forms of communication that require a nuanced understanding during secondary interpretation (2). For example, the use of Spanglish, a mix of Spanish and English, in popular culture and media presents unique challenges for interpreters who must navigate between two distinct linguistic systems while maintaining the integrity of the original message. Facilitators and Challenges in Secondary Interpretation In the context of global information and cultural exchange, language contact can both facilitate and hinder the process of secondary interpretation. On one hand, increased exposure to diverse languages and cultures can enhance interpreters’ linguistic competence and cultural awareness, enabling them to provide more accurate and nuanced interpretations (3). This exposure can also lead to the development of new translation strategies and techniques that cater to the specific needs of a globalized audience. However, language contact can also present challenges for interpreters, particularly in terms of stylistic, lexical, and syntactic differences between languages. Stylistically, interpreters must navigate cultural nuances and rhetorical devices that may not have direct equivalents in the target language, requiring them to make strategic decisions to convey the intended meaning effectively (4). Lexically, the presence of 108 Topical issues of language training in the globalized world loanwords and idiomatic expressions from multiple languages can pose difficulties in finding appropriate equivalents that capture the nuances of the original message. Syntactically, differences in sentence structure and word order between languages can result in ambiguity or loss of meaning during secondary interpretation (5). In order to further enhance the depth and detail of the article on “Language Contact in the Context of Globalization: Impact on Secondary Interpretation,” consider expanding on the following points: 1. Case Studies and Examples: Incorporate specific case studies or examples that illustrate the impact of language contact on secondary interpretation. This could include real-world scenarios where interpreters have encountered challenges or opportunities related to language contact in a globalized context. 2. Technological Advancements: Discuss how advancements in te
