Аннотация

This article provides a scientific analysis of the genetic disorder epidermolysis bullosa (JEB). The disease results from mutations in the laminin and type XVII collagen genes, which disrupt the attachment of epithelial cells to the basal membrane. JEB is divided into two main forms: Herlitz JEB (severe form) and Non-Herlitz JEB (milder form). The Herlitz form is extremely severe, with a short lifespan for patients, whereas the Non-Herlitz form is milder, allowing patients to lead a relatively normal life. The article discusses the clinical features of the disease, including damage to the skin and mucous membranes, difficulties in nutrition and respiration, and increased susceptibility to infections. Keywords: Genetic diseases, Herlitz JEB, Non-Herlitz JEB, symptoms, consequences, treatment.
