Purpose of the study. Studying the influence of variability of the intestinal microbiota on the immune system in acute obstructive bronchitis. Research methods. A total of 102 children aged from two to 5 years (3.7±1.88 years) who received treatment with a diagnosis of “Acute obstructive bronchitis” of moderate and severe severity were examined. Results. During our study, against this background, the following changes were observed: indicators of the T-cell immunity were characterized by a lower content of CD3+ up to 51.7±1.88%, and CD4+ up to 27.9±2.34% (p<0 .05), with the CD4+/CD8+ ratio being 1.38 ±0.011 (p<0.05). With the use of pre- and probiotics in the complex treatment of AOB, a gradual increase in the detection titer of microflora from the Lactobacillus group was noted, but Bifidobacterium remained at low levels on the 5th day of treatment. Conclusion. Our initial study showed that children with acute obstructive bronchitis have changes in the composition of the intestinal microbiota, and these changes are interrelated with the patient's immune system.
