This article examines the role and importance of knowledge of international law for the effective functioning of government agencies, especially in the context of customs services. How an understanding of the principles and norms of international law helps improve the work of customs services, ensuring more harmonious and effective cooperation between countries, regulating international trade, combating illegal practices and ensuring the security of national borders. The article also examines methods for training and further training customs officers in the field of international law, identifying practical examples and successful strategies. In the context of globalization and international integration, the article emphasizes that knowledge of international law is becoming an integral part of the competencies of civil servants and has a significant impact on the development of the economy, security and cooperation between countries.
