In this article, the author tries to analyze the situation in the education system in the Surkhandarya region in the 20s- 40s of the 20th century. Soviet education did not allow other schools to exist in the country. The existence of only public schools in the country led to the loss of the competitive environment in education and the decrease in the quality of education. In addition, the Soviet school was not connected with real life and production. Superstition was banned in Soviet schools. Criminal punishment for dissent is on the rise.
