Аннотация

Climate change occurs year after year. The consequences of climate change are felt throughout the world and also in Central Asia. Under global climate change, rice is exposed to several abiotic stresses. One of the main stress factors is drought and soil salinity. The rice industry must adapt to these stressful conditions to provide food for the country's population. Based on this situation, the Republic of Korea Rural Development Administration (RDA), with the support of the Asian Food and Agriculture Cooperation Initiative (AFACI), assisted IRRI in implementing a project, namely, “Stress Tolerant, High Yield Rice Varieties Suitable for AFACI Members.” countries (SHR) and germplasm use for value addition (GUVA).” The research aims to develop and introduce improved rice varieties to achieve stable yields in target countries under common abiotic stress conditions. As an AFACI member country, Uzbekistan joined this project with a representative from the Rice Research Institute (RRI) in conducting field trials to test the ability of rice varieties to adapt to different environmental conditions to determine certain characteristics.
