Аннотация
Pathological dental wear represents a significant challenge in modern dentistry, affecting 20-45% of the adult population worldwide. Current diagnostic and treatment approaches often lack precision and predictability, necessitating the development of more advanced techniques for comprehensive patient care. Keywords: pathological dental wear, advanced diagnostics, digital dentistry, CAD/CAM technology, dental restoration. Introduction. Pathological dental wear represents one of the most challenging conditions in contemporary dentistry, demonstrating an increasing prevalence across different age groups worldwide. Recent epidemiological studies indicate that 20-45% of adults experience some form of pathological tooth wear, with a concerning trend toward earlier onset in younger populations. This growing prevalence poses significant challenges for dental practitioners and healthcare systems globally. The multifactorial nature of dental wear, involving mechanical, chemical, and biological factors, makes both diagnosis and management particularly complex. Modern lifestyle changes, including dietary habits, increased stress levels, and various parafunctional activities, have contributed to the rising incidence of this condition. Furthermore, improved longevity and the desire to maintain natural dentition throughout life have heightened the importance of effective management strategies. Recent advances in digital dentistry and diagnostic technologies have opened new possibilities for the assessment and treatment of dental wear. Digital scanning, computer- aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems, and sophisticated occlusal analysis tools have revolutionized the approach to diagnosis and treatment planning. However, despite these technological advances, the integration of these tools into a comprehensive, evidence-based protocol remains a significant challenge. Objective. To enhance the efficiency of diagnosis and management of pathological dental wear through the development and implementation of advanced diagnostic algorithms and personalized treatment strategies. Materials and Methods. The study included 180 patients with various degrees of pathological dental wear. We employed contemporary diagnostic methods including digital scanning, computerized occlusal analysis, electromyography of masticatory muscles, and biometric analysis of diagnostic models. Treatment protocols incorporated direct and indirect CAD/CAM restorations. The follow-up period was 24 months, with regular assessments at 6, 12, and 24-month intervals. Results. The implementation of advanced diagnostic algorithms improved the accuracy of etiological factor identification and severity assessment by 32% compared to conventional 9 ` methods. The developed personalized treatment approach demonstrated significant clinical success, with 94.5% of patients achieving stable functional and aesthetic outcomes. The complication rate decreased from 23.4% to 5.8% (p<0.001). Digital workflow integration reduced treatment planning time by 45% while improving prediction accuracy of restoration outcomes. Conclusion. The application of advanced diagnostic techniques and personalized treatment strategies significantly improves the management of pathological dental wear, leading to better clinical outcomes and reduced complication rates. This comprehensive approach offers a more predictable and efficient protocol for dental rehabilitation of affected patients.
