Аннотация

This article is dedicated to the role and significance of archaeological research in the study of the early medieval history of Khwarezm. It analyzes archaeological excavations conducted in the Khwarezm oasis and their results. The interrelationship of archaeological research with historical sources, particularly the significance of numismatic data, is also demonstrated. Furthermore, the early medieval urban planning culture, socio-economic ties, and political history of Khwarezm are re-examined based on archaeological data.
