Children are valuable cultural and artistic treasures, and paying attention to their all-round development in formal and informal education is one of the duties of every society. Because the continuity and survival of culture, art, civilization, and other signs of ethnic groups and nations depend on the foresight and education provided to children. From this perspective, the more attention is paid to various aspects of children's development and upbringing, the greater the cultural dynamism and excellence of that nation. Therefore, in this study, in order to understand the effect of stories and poetry on children's language development and learning, an attempt was made to collect and analyze data and information from books and articles using a descriptive-analytical method. The results of the study show that children are very interested in listening to and reading stories and poems, and storytelling and the language of poetry are one of the most effective languages in developing their language, imagination, and increasing their learning. Children who are taught stories and poetry have the ability to remember words when necessary. They live in a fantasy world and have a high imagination, which is why they perform many movements and words with special music and have a wide field of imagination in games and entertainment. This makes children pay more attention to storytelling and poetry and are attracted to them. Child psychologists recommend that parents and teachers use stories and poetry to develop character, increase learning, language and mental development, and mental and emotional peace in children. Поэтому в этом исследовании, чтобы понять влияние рассказов и поэзии на языковое развитие и обучение детей, была предпринята попытка собрать и проанализировать данные и информацию из книг и статей с использованием описательно-аналитического метода. Результаты исследования показывают, что дети очень заинтересованы в прослушивании и чтении рассказов и стихов, а рассказывание историй и язык поэзии являются одними из самых эффективных языков для развития их языка, воображения и повышения их обучаемости. Дети, которых обучают рассказам и поэзии, обладают способностью запоминать слова, когда это необходимо. In Afghanistan, children's literature entered the press during the time of Amanullah Khan, and Siraj-ul-Atafil was the first publication published by "Mahmoud Tarzi" as a supplement to Siraj-ul-Akhbar on October 5, 1918. A collection of educational stories, songs and folk poems in the field of children's literature in Dari and Pashto languages was published in Afghanistan. Including: "Dehqan Kuchak" (play) translated by Abdul Latif Nisar in 1957; "Khurshid Biron Aamed" (story) by Fath Mohammad Montazer in 1958; "Qesa Shirin" translated by Mohammad Rashad Wasa in 1972; "Educational Stories (Pashto and Dari)" by Abdul Mohammad Samozi in 1972; “The Voice of Children” (a collection of folk songs) by Abdul Rauf Pa’iz was published in 1974 (Anousheh et al., 2002: 506). Also, from 1981 to 1992, a section called “Children’s Literature” was active in the Afghan Writers’ Association.
