This article highlights the importance and advantages of using Marker-Based Selection (MBS) in cotton breeding, as well as its application in breeding processes. In particular, the Marker-Assisted Selection (MAS) method allows for a significant increase in the accuracy and effectiveness of the selection process. In cotton breeding, the MAS method plays an important role in increasing varietal purity and improving product quality. One of the important traits in cotton breeding is fiber quality. The quality of cotton fiber is determined by key factors such as fiber length, fiber strength, fiber fineness, fiber color, and fiber cleanliness. The fiber quality indicators of lines obtained from initial materials developed using the Marker-Assisted Selection (MAS) method were determined and scientifically analyzed.
