Flavonoids, being an important group of plant secondary metabolites, play a key role in the physiological functioning of plants and have a wide range of biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and cardioprotective effects. Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) is one of the plants traditionally used in folk medicine, known for its medicinal properties due, among other things, to the presence of flavonoids
