Аннотация
COVID-19 is more dangerous in the second and third trimesters, which is explained by the increased burden on various body systems. Changes in the cardiorespiratory and immune systems during pregnancy increase a woman's susceptibility to severe infection and hypoxic compromise. It should be noted that the functioning of the pulmonary respiratory system from the second half of gestation is impaired by the elevated position of the diaphragm resulting from the growth of the pregnant uterus and the need to enhance lung function due to the body's increased oxygen demand. There is no convincing link between coronavirus infection and an increased risk of pregnancy loss in the second trimester. However, the development of obstetric and perinatal pathologies in pregnant women with COVID-19 remains a pressing issue. In this regard, the chosen focus of our dissertation is highly relevant, and the analysis conducted will help practical healthcare find the right approaches to providing medical care to pregnant and postpartum women with COVID-19.
